Fixtures

Sunday 20th May             Greenford P 1    Ronan Cup                         2 30      Cuchullians v Fr Murphys

Sunday 20th May             Greenford P 2    Football League Div 2    1 00        Cuchullians v Moindearg

Two important fixtures for this weekend! The hurlers will hopefully get their fixture against Fr. Murphy’s played after being cancelled on two occasions. The footballers have a vital game in the league and it promises to be another closely fought affair as per their first league game of the season. Directions to Greenford can be found on the club website.

Recovery

Everyone at CuChulainns wishes our Hurling Manager Dom McKenna all the best as he recovers from pneumonia.

Congratulations

The club wishes to send its congratulations to Kieran and Darren Wynne, Johhny Kinch (aka ‘Enjoyin it’) and Padraig Biggane who were all members of the SE Athletic Soccer Team who claimed a league title over the weekend. Well done to all the lads and let’s hope they can have an even more successful season with the footballers this season (and hurlers Pod).

Sports Gear

by Cu Chulainns on April 22, 2012

Sports Gear has arrived for the lads that ordered it, with the exception of the White Polo Shirts.

Please bring the money you owe to training on either Tuesday/Thursday this week – Gear won’t be handed out until fully paid for.

Anyone who ordered White Polos will have to wait for another 2 weeks or so as these will arrive separately.

Here’s the link showing what each person owes:
Sports Orders

We also have the gear for the Elite members, again with the exception of the White Polo shirts.

Cuchulainns would like to offer its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Kilburn Gaels hurler, Cathal Forde, who sadly passed away when he collapsed at the end of a training session with his club last night. He was taken to Whittington Hospital by ambulance but pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Cathal was 28 years old and originally from Gort in Co. Galway and had been working in London as a site engineer for the last two and a half years. He won the London SHC with his club two years ago alongside his brother Niall.

Deepest sympathies to his brother Niall and his whole family, and girlfriend Shiela, from everyone here at Cúchulainns GAA Club.

Ár gcomhbhrón. Tá sibh inár gcuid smaointe agus paidreacha.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam uasal.
